Court of Honor and Touch the Temple

Brett has been dedicating so much time to getting the boys up and going in their scouting program, and getting himself back in the game as well. He's gotten himself signed up to be a merit badge counselor for several badges and also had to purchase a new uniform, patches, manual, and neckerchief. After all that he only had one day to get his patches on his uniform. We spent night and day taking turns hand sewing to get the uniform ready for Court of Honor. It was certainly a moment to be proud of. These boys are an impressive troop.

This weekend our ward had a "Touch the Temple" day in Kansas City. All adults, youth, and children were invited. The youth set up games, crafts, and other events for the children while adults did temple work. There were over 70 adults and only room enough for 50 to do the work at the same time, so I helped volunteer to do other work elsewhere in the temple. It is such a beautiful temple - my first time visiting this one in particular. But aren't they all beautiful? While all adults were inside the temple, the children all got their picture taken touching the temple walls outside. They will get their picture framed as a Christmas present from the Primary presidency. Afterwards we all had a picnic at a country park. It was a very successful event.

    1. Check out this site for more pictures and information of LDS temples around the world. There's probably one close to you too. Some of my favorites are the Washington D.C. and the San Diego temples. http://www.ldschurchtemples.com/photographs/
