Okay, it sounds really dramatic. But that's what really happened (besides that he denies he heard me scream). I've got proof:
Gives me the shivers!
And where was Brett? I had just dropped him off at the solar house site after a very cute date. We went to the frozen yogurt shop for breakfast and he gave me a tour of the design center where all the design teams work on the various competition projects. I got to see the concrete canoe, the solar vehicle, and the human-powered vehicle. The solar house is coming along on schedule. You can see live construction 24/7 here. (scroll down the page and click on the gray box that says "Click to Watch the Live Webcam!") Competition is in October at Orange County Park in Irvine, CA.
Brett has been very busy this summer. He's taking two summer school classes - Engineering Management and Linear Algebra - and he's working on the solar house, back to working on research for Nucor with a new advisor (his other advisor passed away suddenly), and he's also got a job as a private math tutor twice a week.
I am thoroughly enjoying my Zumba class. I think it's really helping me be more coordinated. I also get to socialize with other women, which is such a welcome change since I live with a man and I work in an office full of engineer guys. We have a great Zumba instructor who teaches this class for free. She choreographs exercise and stretches into dance moves that we learn to music. Sometimes the women bring their children and they do Zumba with us. It's so cute to see kids young as 2 dance/exercise to the music.
