Gingerbread Day
The first Saturday of December is Gingerbread House Day in my family. I used a new recipe from a friend and these gingerbread bars turned out to be so soft and chewy. Brett and I didn't make a gingerbread house this year because we're going to be spending Christmas with my family in California and so we'll get to enjoy the one they made there. It's tradition every December to make a gingerbread house and decorate it with any useable leftover Halloween candy and then put it on display all month. Then, on New Years Day, we eat it for breakfast!
Each night leading up to Christmas we read a Christmas story from the Christmas album, along with a scripture passage and singing a Christmas song. So I got out the Christmas album that my Mom gave to Brett and I last year for our very own and we will read from it every night.
There are so many more Christmas/December traditions I can't wait to share!
