Best Caramel Popcorn


 
 Brett and I have now made this caramel popcorn recipe twice in the past two days. It is the best recipe I've ever tasted for caramel popcorn. This was one of the things I remember Brett making for me and my roommates while we were dating. It's so gooey but doesn't get stuck to your teeth. Best of all, it's so easy to make!

Osmonson Family Caramel Popcorn
2 packages of microwaveable popcorn, or enough to make 4 quarts
1/2 cup butter
13 large marshmellows
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract

Make the popcorn. Pick out the unpopped kernels. Pour popped corn into a large bowl.
Melt butter over medium heat in a medium saucepan. Add marshmellows and brown sugar and stir until all is melted together. When the mixture starts getting frothy add the vanilla and mix together.
Pour over popcorn and toss to coat.
