Campus was still open, so I did not get any time off work. Needless to say, we were just as busy as always.
But we usually try to have some fun on the weekends, so this weekend we did several things together.
1. We spent some time at Staples and Lowe's getting supplies so I could put this together:
Engineering Prints at Staples $7.29 + Insulation foam board at Lowe's $12.96 |
3. We checked out our local JC Penney. In all the time we've lived here we've never been before.
4. We baked, ate and dyed Easter eggs! Yes, I said we baked them. I don't know if I'll ever boil eggs again, because they were extremely tasty (I mean, without the strong hard-boiled egg taste), and the yolks weren't greeny-gray, but golden.
5. We made a fabulous creamy ice cream with just two ingredients: frozen bananas and peanut butter. Bananas are a miracle fruit! And then of course we added some chocolate chunks to it. It was a very delicious and healthy treat. We ate it for lunch.
On top of our fun activities the snow has all melted away and Rolla is slowly seeing signs of spring.
Happy Easter to all!
